During the workshop you will be creating an Ikebana-inspired arrangement using a Kenzan with guidance and tutorage from our in-house florist. We will be using locally grown, seasonal flowers and foliage to make a unique arrangement. Our workshops are for all abilities and are about having fun, being creative and giving it a go!
All equipment provided, including flowers and a Niwaki Kenzan. There is a discounted ticket price, if you bring your own Kenzan.
This session will be delivered by the team from Bloom Sheffield, a community garden for women, promoting positive mental health through therapeutic horticulture. We run weekly flower growing groups for women to improve their health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation and teach and share skills. We manage three gardens across Sheffield and grow all of the flowers we use in our bouquets and arrangements. As a not-for-profit organisation, all the money we raise from the sales of our flowers go back into the garden and supporting women’s mental health in the community.
