Kete Bowers

Kete Bowers is a singer / songwriter born in Liverpool. His music crosses many genres from Rock, Folk, Americana and Blues. Kete's new critically acclaimed album Paper Ships was recorded in Toronto, Canada in September 2018 at The Cowboy Junkies Studio "The Hanger" produced by Michael Timmins and mastered by Peter J Moore.

"Like Cohen before him, Bowers is magnificent proof that melancholy and torment can produce great music and resonant lyrics, there may be ghosts behind us but Paper Ships encourages us to take their hands and walk with them towards the light." Mike Davies, folking.com

"Listening to Bowers' rich voice you'd swear he was as Texan as Guy Clark or Townes Van Zandt. Paper Ships is a classic slice of Americana". Uncut Magazine 2019. ******

Lauren Lucille

Born in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, Lauren was surrounded by music from an early age. Her original musical inspiration came from her parents, in particular the musical family of her mother, renowned jazz vocalist Sharny Russell. She could often be found at her mother’s gigs, learning how to swing before she even knew what swing was. Over the last 10 years, artists such as Kurt Elling, Tierny Sutton, Gian Slater, Sara Serpa, Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap and Ani Difranco have all had a large influence on the way Lauren writes and performs music.

Lauren’s songwriting started at the age of ten, and through her teens, Lauren was writing folk and pop songs on guitar and piano. She is now acknowledged by her peers as a great composer and performer and was twice a finalist in the QMusic Awards for two of her jazz compositions. James Morrison the great Australian trumpet player added one of Lauren’s compositions to his ‘best of jazz’ list for QANTAS international and national inflight entertainment! She is blessed with a magnificent voice, a sound grasp of harmony and sophisticated rhythmic sense.

Lauren has been performing professionally since 2006 firstly around Australia, and since her move to Europe in 2013, mostly in London, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Vienna. Her desire is to travel and sing and 'to make people feel something' with her music. She has performed in the Melbourne International Women’s Jazz Festival, Noosa Jazz Festival, Valley Jazz Festival (Brisbane), Yeppoon Village Festival, WOMAD (UK) and Jazztime (Germany).

Lauren launched her 2012 all original album 'Hidden Here' produced by Garry Smith to a sold out theatre (200 people) in July 2012, and had an encore launch to which 100 people attended. This album has been received well by the general public and also radio stations across Australia including ABC. The genre is mostly melancholy jazz with pop influences using a jazz quartet and string trio.

And finally, in 2019, Lauren released her second all original album ‘Let Go’ produced by one of UKs top pop and jazz producers - Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Laura Mvula, Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter). This has more pop influences using electric guitars, a moog and a hammond.

Lauren will tour this new album in 2019/2020 and she is still doing jazz gigs and solo gigs in London and Germany.

Philip Marino

Raised in a cornfield-surrounded suburb of Chicago, Illinois, Philip Marino brings the Midwestern values of honesty, authenticity, and persistence to his music and, he hopes, to his life. Influenced at a young age by the likes of John Mellencamp, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, the music Marino makes today is a mix of storytelling and soul-searching.

Currently based in Essex, England, Marino has played shows on many well-known stages from London to Norwich (and many places in between) since 2011 (e.g., The Islington, Proud Camden, The Harrison, The Monarch, Colchester Arts Centre, Hertford Corn Exchange, Live at Little Rabbit Barn, Cambridge Folk Club, John Peel Centre for Creative Arts). His songs have been played on radio stations around the world, including BBC radio throughout the United Kingdom. On his 3rd CD (‘Days Like These’ - released in 2017) Marino worked with platinum-selling producer and singer-songwriter Simone Felice (the producer for The Lumineers, Vance Joy, and Bat For Lashes) and with James Felice from the well-known American folk band The Felice Brothers.

“Marino continues to show just why he's bubbling on the edge of a commercial breakthrough.” - Maverick Magazine

“A wonderfully cultured singer-songwriter, the likes of whom we need to lend more support. 8 out of 10.” - AmericanaUK

“Strong earthy vocals, with a searingly passionate approach to his austere soul searching songs. Honest music for dishonest times.” - Acoustic Magazine

“It’s unlikely you’ll come across Marino on well-travelled paths, but look for those musical sideroads and less beaten paths and seek him out. Chasing Ghosts is his best yet.” - Folk Radio

"Deft arrangements under warm, resonant vocals and guitar work, these are candid, soul-searching and celebratory declarations, sentimental and ultimately positive." - Rock Society Magazine

Sir Jay

Sir Jay is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Helsinki, Finland. His self-produced tracks aim to capture the moment by using experimental folk-rock aesthetics, the imaginary flow of lyrics, and vibrating drum patterns and body percussion. The artist's journey started two years ago in London where he wrote the first drafts of his songs. Sir Jay is the former lead singer of Helsinki based indie rock band Bye Mandu and has also worked with many top Finnish musicians throughout his career. He has so far released one single and his debut EP is scheduled for release in fall 2019.

"a lovely reassuring soft voice that suits the style of music so well" - Nordic Music Review
