About this event

Family & Education • Education

This workshop introduces you to the purpose of the attachment system and why it is such a valuable framework for us to be able to use, to better understand the parent-child relationship. There is a section dedicated to looking at the process of emotion regulation and its purpose within the attachment relationship and why and how these ideas can be applied within our parenting assessments and intervention. You will also be encouraged to reflect on your own attachment style and how this might influence your interactions with families and your decision making. Lastly, you will be given attachment-based questions to use within supervision to help you with applying an attachment lens, as well as an attachment practice checklist to help you implement your learning into practice.
