Khayaal Theatre Company : The House of Wisdom In the Golden Age of Islam
Join us in Middleton Hall in the Center of Milton Keynes Shopping Centre for an enlightening journey into the Golden Age of Islam with the Khayaal Theatre Company.
Discover the wonders of the House of Wisdom and immerse yourself in the rich history of this era. This performance forms part of MKIAC's month long celebration of the Festival of Code and Light.
The performance takes the audience on a journey with Daniel of Morley from Norfolk to Toledo in Muslim Spain and on through the libraries there to the House of Wisdom in Baghdad where he learns about the scientific genius and discoveries of Al-Kindi, his rivalry with the Banu Musa brothers and his friendship with Al-Khawarizmi.

This is a 30 minute performance followed by a 15 minute participatory workshop that exploring the legacy of the House of Wisdom as we experience it today's world like algorithms, musical scales and even therapy!
The show fits in with national curriculum for Y4,Y5 and Y6, however is suitable for ALL.
The sessions will run at the following time on both Tuesday 21st October and Wednesday the 22nd October.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult during the performance. Adults will also need to book tickets.
