Kids Easter Activity Day
Wed 12 April 2017, 09:30 – 15:00 BST
If your child is between 5 and 10 years old they are welcome to come and spend the day at the Education Centre and Nature Reserve. We host activity days every half term/school holiday and demand is always high from the local community. The activities have yet to be decided upon for this date but previous days have included bird box making, large bird nest making and other outdoor games and arts and crafts. We try to get the children outdoors as much as possible.
Please drop your child off for 9:30am and pick up is at 15:00. There is no charge for this activity. Your child will need a refillable drinks bottle, packed lunch and snack. They will need to wear warm clothing, bring a coat, gloves and sensible shoes and/or wellies.
Booking is essential, no admittance without booking and places are limited, first come basis.
This event is sponsored by Fiddler's Ferry/SSE.
Please note- this is NOT the family Easter egg hunt and party. Please book 1 ticket per child. Please kindly note that you may not be able to register using a mobile device or from a works computer.
Other info will be emailed out once booked onto the event.
Please read the following BEFORE booking your child onto the event:
There is a possibility of early drop off for this event at 8:30am, please seek prior agreement from
Please read the FAQ's below before booking also.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The ideal age is 5-10 years old. Some of the activities maybe too young for 10+. If your child is only 4 but is due to go to primary school in September and you think they are independent enough to come along please get in touch. If your child is aged 4 and do not like to play independently, go to the toilet independently etc then this event is not suitable for them.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Drop off is at 9:30am and collection is at 3:00pm. All children will need to be dropped off at the Education Centre each day to sign in their child/ren, this should take place no earlier than 9:20am. On the first day an ‘emergency contact and allergy form’ will need to be filled in upon arrival so please make sure that you have the following information available per child that you are dropping off:
Date of birth
Next of kin and contact number
Any medical info we should be aware of and details of medication
Please drive onto site (WA5 2UT) at 10mph and reverse park. Please follow site rules such as reverse parking, following yellow walkways as adhering to these rules allows the events to continue each year.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Your child should ideally leave any expensive items at home as we do not take any responsibility for loss of items. If your child likes to take photos they could bring a cheap disposible camera with them. Games consoles are activly encouraged to remain at home! There is nothing to purchase and no vending machine so the children do not need any money . They should:
Wear clothes that can get mud/glue on them
Packed lunch, snack and refillable bottle
Wellies/sensible outdoor shoes
Any medication clearly labelled and handed into G.Davis
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
firstname.lastname@example.org and 01514795795/5710. In an emergency please call 07508275850.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No but i appreciate that plans change so please get in touch as soon as possible if you realise that your child can no longer attend. There are limited numbers for all of the activity days and places are allocated on a first come basis, I do not hold places anymore and bookings can only be done via booking on via the Eventbrite system. This allows me to keep you informed about the dates you have booked. If your child can not attend the event that you have booked for them please let me know as soon as possible so that another child can take their place and there is always a waiting list.
What happens if I do not turn up?
A place will be wasted as it will probably be too late to let the reserved/waiting list know. This is a real shame and over the summer camp it happened twice with 2 families who I will no longer be taking bookings from.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, just your booking name.
What if my child breaks the rules/boundaries ?
Behaviour tends to be excellent during the camps. However, if any child is witnessed bullying another child they will be spoken to and the behaviour will be addressed and dealt with using behaviour management techniques similar to that used in primary schools. However, if a child continues to cause us concern after having been giving the time to rectify their behaviour I will need to call parents in order to discuss the possibility of collecting the child
