Event Details

Join us for some Festive Family Foodie Fun at The Community Farm this winter.

We'll be cosying up in our yurt (equipped with wood-burner!) giving the opportunity for children and parents to come together to harvest crops from our fields and learn how to make some tasty treats in time for the Christmas festivities. During the session, families will work together to prepare a festive, seasonal feast to share!

Fantastic children's chef, Jo Ingleby, and Claire Rosling from Earthwise will lead the day and with their powers combined this is sure to be a day of fabulous festive foodie fun!

We will be holding two separate cookery sessions for different age ranges:

10am-12pm: under 8 year olds (must be accompanied by an adult) Click here to book for this session
1pm-3pm: 8-16 year olds (accompanying adult welcome but not mandatory)

NB. If you have two children that fall in different age groups please use your own judgement.

Our Cookery Days are held at The Community Farm, a beautiful Organic farm South of Bristol, over-looking Chew Valley Lake. Click here for a map.

Parent feedback:
"Fabulous day, very inspirational...beautiful setting. Really lovely helpful folk inspiring us! Emotional."
"The setting and the flow of activities was just so perfect! Your team was fantastic and Jo incarnates a subtle mix of charisma with humbleness that adds onto this great 'feel good factor'! There is so much passion behind your work that it genuinely shines out. We will come back for sure!"
What do the kids say?

"I love making the bread, picking the veg and eating it all at the end - YUM YUM!! I had never had frittata but I LOVE it!! I would love to come again. Thank you very much!!! PS. My fave bit was running over the soil!!"

'It was one of the best days of my life!'

'Picking veg and chopping them was my favourite bits'

'I am happy I can give food to mummy'

Due to space constraints in our yurt we ask that children are accompanied by only one adult.
