Here's something different for your kids to do when they're not at school: they can create their very own indoor gardens, complete with an animal figurine. What better way to get kids interested and involved with nature than making their own mini eco-system?!

In this workshop, after an introduction to how a closed terrarium works and how they survive so well on their own, a short history about terrariums and a full demonstration, the children get to choose from a selection of plants and animal figurines to create their own mini world in a self-sustainable jar.

It's then hands on to get the materials in and looking great. Assistance is provided throughout, helping to give them ideas for design and familiarising them with the building materials.

Everything will be provided, the terrarium, soil, moss, stones, plants, tools and decorative items including a toy animal friend!

After all the excitement of planting they will then find out about how to care for their terrariums, and will receive full care instructions to take home along with their own enclosed eco-systems.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5-11 years. Parents will need to stay for the duration of the workshop.
