Event description

Description

IMPRESS and TITCH have joined forces to develop a family oriented incontinence workshop day. Kid's Toilet Talk which will focus on the needs of young children and teenagers who live with incontinence from their perspective and their ideas for how these might be met using new technologies. It’s a day working with uninhibited creative young minds!

For the children we hope it will be valuable time to spend with others in the same boat, a chance to express themselves in relation to their condition, and also a chance to have some general fun around the Thackray Medical Museum where they will have chance to take a tour and participate in some fun medical related activities organised specially for them by the Museum. For IMPRESS the output from the workshop sessions with the children will help us to go on to publicise their specific needs across our network of researchers and beyond as a driver to generate more research studies devoted to new solutions which address these needs.

The workshop is primarily open to young people aged 6-16 years and their parents/guardians but also to specialist healthcare professionals and engineering researchers interested in participating in the morning and afternoon group work sessions with the young people.
