This month's session focuses on Lace Making
Status: Endangered
New for November. Once a major fashion item, lace can be used to decorate many garments, accessories and furnishings.
There are different types of lacemaking from the exotic reticella, Ruskin style, needle lace and the more familiar bobbin lace or pillow lace.
In this session, you will learn the basic techniques to get you started with this timeless classic. Drawing from her own experience and historical research, Heather will introduce beginners to the art of lacemaking using a rough thread to outline a basic autumnal design.
This workshop was suggested by Kilgrimol Crafts session attendees.
