Event description

Exercise and challenge doesn't have to be scary or frustrating. You will be uplifted and re-charged after completing this challenge event!

This challenge event is the distance of the Lemosho route to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. You can run, walk, row, cycle, swim or even paddle the distance over 1 day or multiple days/months. Use the challenge to get fit and start your healthy lifestyle or continue the healthy lifestyle you have been living. The event is raising money for the Nasio Trust, the entry fee will go directly to the charity.

Feel like sportsperson of the year at the end of the event, as each participant will receive a unique finisher's medal which has been designed by a young up and coming artist. We wanted to support a young talent, early on in their career. The image shows part of the medal. We post internationally, please don't let location put you off!

Be part of this unique challenge and have the evidence to show off to your friends and social network. You do not need to prove anything to us, so unlike many virtual challenges you won't need to send us evidence. The challenge is for you to complete and be proud of.

The Nasio Trust not only runs two Early Childhood Development Centres in rural Kenya with high levels of HIV. They also provide a daily meal, pre-primary education and medical care to around 400 children. They also work to improve living conditions with the local areas, building income streams and tackling the root causes of poverty.

In addition to this, in the UK they run a 10 month mentoring and fundraising programme for young people culminating in a trip to volunteer at their projects in Kenya. The programme has been running for over 10 years and has taken almost 100 young people to Kenya, many of whom were disaffected or otherwise vulnerable.
