Event description

Description

This six week course will explore the numerous possibilities and techniques used when enamelling copper. Students will create a range of different shapes with the copper and then apply vitreous enamel in stages. The tutor will demonstrate how sheet copper can be formed, either into small trinket size bowls, flat dishes and pieces of jewellery, or can be left as a square piece that can become an enamelled tile. Gold and silver foil can be fired in-between transparent enamels for stunning effects. The tutor will respond to ideas from students and help them to successfully create their own projects.

A 10x10cm copper panel and enamels are included in the price of the course. Extra pieces of copper will be available to buy during the 6 weeks, as will silver and gold foil, to layer into enamel designs.

Suitable for all levels including beginnners.
