Kinesiology Therapeutic Taping Workshop with Jen Wren
Sat 20 May 2017, 09:30 – 16:00 BST
Kinesiology Therapeutic Taping is a wonderful adjunct practice tool for any massage therapist who wants to provide something extra for their clients and is specifically useful for:
Reducing pain of injuries and swelling
Improving circulation, promoting faster healing
Improving functional movement, positioning and ranges of motion
Supporting and enhancing performance in sports and dance
This one day workshop will cover basic application techniques, and elements to identify, question and consider when using kinesiology therapeutic tape with clients. Using a balance of theory, problem solving and practice the workshop will guide you through:
Understanding why we are taping (edema, soft tissue, joint support)
Consideration of facilitation vs inhibitive techniques
Learning and applying direction of tape placement, tensions and positioning for taping methods and applications
Examples of taping methods used with adjunct therapies
Each attendee will receive notes and a CPD certificate.
