San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
You are invited to the Code for the Kingdom hackathon kick-off planning session.
Kingdom Code wants to bring together like-minded Christians in the technology and creative digital space. We started in June this year with a meetup of around 70 people at the Impact Hub, Westminster and with 180 people signing up online to be a part of what we are doing.
Our new website is now launched (big thanks to Sam Peckham @onesheepmedia) You can see the site here: Kingdom Code
At our June event we publicised the aim of launching a "Code for the Kingdom" Hackathon in Spring 2015.
A group like ours in Austin, Texas is about to hold one of these hackathons. You can find out more about it here: Austin Hackathon
35 of you said you wanted to be a part of making this happen. Here's a chance to help put that good intention into practice.
3 Good Reasons to Help Bring the Hackathon to Life:
1. The UK & the world needs this - technology increasingly forms a part of mission, ministry and Kingdom transformation in places of social need.
2. You need this - its a great forum to use your passion, experience and talents for the Kingdom.
3. We need this - Kingdom Code is a collaboration and a collective of like minded people. We can only achieve things together. Lets dream together and work together to bring those dreams to life.
There is no obligation to help with the hackathon if you come, but we hope from this group that we will be able to form a good team of hackathon champions.
To keep the conversation manageable, this event will be restricted to 40 tickets.
The Counting House
We will meet in the Partners Room at the Counting House pub near Bank station.
They have delicious pies.....
