We would like to invite you to the launch event of the King’s Climate Research Hub, ‘Researching climate change at the interface of science and society’. The event will be held from 16:00 to 18:00 in the River Room, Strand Campus, with a drinks reception following in the Council Rooms.

The event will include an introduction to the King’s Climate Research Hub by Dr George Adamson and Prof. Tamsin Edwards, followed by a panel event featuring Hub members Dr Duraid Jalili (Co-Director of the Environmental Security Research Group, Department of Defence Studies), Dr Gabrielle Samuel (Department of Global Health and Social Medicine) and Dr James Wright (Policy Institute).

The King’s Climate Research Hub is an interdisciplinary unit based within the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy, which aims to share research resources and promote interdisciplinary collaboration on climate change research across the College. The Hub has three remits:

To collate and share opportunities for climate researchers across King’s;
To facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration across the College;
To explore climate change as a social, cultural and political phenomenon at the intersection of science & society.
