The King’s Connect Mentoring Meet-Up brings together King's alumni and student community for an evening of professional development and networking. It is our pleasure to invite you back to campus for our first in-person mentoring event in over two years.

Whether you are seeking professional advice and guidance or eager to share your knowledge and experience with current students, come along to our King's Connect Mentoring Meet-Up!

During the evening, the room will be split into 6 professional development stations:

• CV Review

• Interview Practice

• Speed Mentoring

• LinkedIn Support

• King’s Connect Tips

• Professional headshots*

If you would like to attend the Meet-Up as a mentor, you can choose which station you would like to be based at. On the night you will have the opportunity to meet with mentees and share your professional insights, tips and advice.

If you would like to attend the Meet-Up as a mentee, you will have the opportunity to visit each section and meet with mentors at each one, providing you with a breadth of professional insights, tips and advice.

We will also have a professional photographer during the event who will be taking headshots to be sent to you free of charge, for use on your LinkedIn or CV.

Towards the end of the evening you will have the opportunity to continue networking over some well-earned refreshments.

Important booking information: This event is exclusive to King's students and alumni, please do not bring a guest to this event.

Important COVID-19 safety information:

Your event registration information will be kept for 21 days in case of a potential outbreak and for track and trace.
All attendees are required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the event.
If you feel unwell, please do not attend the event.
Please abide by the University's one way system (indicated by signs and stickers on the floor).
Face coverings are recommended but not compulsory.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Can I update my registration information once I have booked?

Yes, but please contact us directly to do so.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not have to bring along your printed ticket.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No, please make sure all registration information is for the person attending the event. If you would like to give your ticket to someone else, then please get in touch with us or log in to your Eventbrite account and edit your registration information.

* Please note that all headshots will be uploaded to the Alumni Office’s Flickr/Google account and saved in a private album. They can only be accessed via a link we will share with you by email after the event. We will keep all headshots there for 3 weeks for you to download, after which they will be deleted. If you wish not for your photos to be handled in this way, please do not take a picture. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Alumni Office or speak to a member of staff at the event for more information.
