About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

I’m Ben, and I’d love to take you on a captivating walking tour from King’s Cross to Clerkenwell—an area deeply connected to my family and close to my heart. Together, we’ll uncover the stories of both the powerful and the overlooked, tracing how their lives have intersected over the centuries.

Once a run-down district, King’s Cross has undergone a dramatic transformation. The grand Victorian railways, symbols of past industrial ambition, now stand alongside modern hubs of commerce. We’ll explore how this shift has shaped public spaces and housing, creating both opportunities and challenges.

Leaving the station’s hustle behind, we’ll wander into Clerkenwell’s quiet alleys and charming squares. But beneath its calm exterior lies a rich history of radicalism, riots, and rebellion—challenging the mainstream narrative and offering a glimpse into London’s more subversive past.

During this tour, I’ll also share some of my personal experience of homelessness, leading conversation that uncovers the truth of homelessness and combats harmful stereotypes.

Join me for an insightful journey through this layered and ever-evolving cityscape.
