Kingston Cemetery Conservation Day
Sat 16 December 2017, 10:00 – 13:00 GMT
The Kingston Cemetery Nature Group meet on the third Saturday of every month. Each month we carry out a variety of conservation tasks from creating a stag beetle loggery this February to scything in the late summer and bramble bashing in the winter. We work for around three hours but you can drop in whenever you like. On occasion we will also have guided walks around the site to learn about its meadow plants and rare wax cap fungi, or the local bird population. You don't need to know anything about conservation or gardening to get involved. Just turn up in sturdy footwear and old clothes and if you have them bring a pair of gardening gloves. We will provide the tools, chat, tea and biscuits .
