About this event

Community • Nationality

Come join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the complexities of kinship, culture, and colour and explore the question of belonging in Britain today. What are - or what should be - the respective significance of kinship, culture or colour in British national identity? Is a society based on commonality rather than distinct cultural identities desirable or possible? Who or what are creating new lines of division today? Author Ben Cobley, novelist Dolan Cummings and journalist Ralph Leonard share their thoughts and, with DDU Director Alka Sehgal Cuthbert chairing, you will be invited to participate in the conversation. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore the challenging but vitally important question of citizenship and national identity in Britain today.
