Kirklees Council ScanStation: Show and Tell at Huddersfield Town Hall

It's time to diminish queues at customer service centres and give customers the tools to self-serve their document scanning needs.
Analysis conducted by Kirklees Council and LookingLocal showed that significant time and resources were being wasted by the council and conversations with other LA's showed that many others shared the same challenge. Therefore, they developed ScanStation - a simple solution that is easy to use, fully integrated and most importantly cost effective.
ScanStation at Kirklees: Last year alone, Kirklees Council handled over 46,000 transaction that required some form of scanning assistance and analysis showed that it's current process was wasting the council time and money. Scanstation was developed and went live this month, currently supporting HB/CTR claims with plans to expand to all other benefits over the next two-years. The system is fully integrated with Kirklees' back-office system resulting in savings in back-end admin as well as freeing up front-end advisers.
Within the first year of ScanStation being live Kirklees are predicted to make a saving of £300,000.
ScanStation is now available for all other local authorities and is available to purchase via G-Cloud, or directly from LookingLocal.
