Join us in our award-winning yarn shop in Bovey Tracey for a workshop from internationally acclaimed designer Anniken Allis.
Shetland hap shawls are square shawls which were worn by working women in the Shetland islands. In this class you will learn how to knit a square hap shawl and a half hap shawl. You will learn how to knit the centre square or triangle, pick up stitches around the edges and knit a wavy lace edging.
You will be given a choice of hap-inspired patterns to take home.
All materials will be supplied.
Skills needed: Knit, purl, cast on and cast off.
Please bring your own lunch. There are also many local places to buy lunch nearby.
Tea-time treats and refreshments will also be served.
