Ready to knit your very first beanie hat? Join us at Something Good Workshops in Deptford, London for a cosy and creative knitting workshop designed for total beginners. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn the basics of knitting and leave with your very own handmade beanie – perfect to wear, gift, or treasure.
Your ticket includes £30 worth of materials to keep:
- A pair of quality knitting needles
- A 200g ball of Wool and the Gang’s Crazy Sexy Alpaca wool
- A yarn needle
- Our handy instruction pamphlet to help you keep going at home
That means you’ll not only make your first hat in class, but you’ll also have everything you need to continue your knitting journey afterwards.
During the workshop, you’ll cover:
- Casting on, knitting, and purling
- Shaping techniques for hats
- How to finish neatly and with confidence
We keep the atmosphere relaxed and fun – plus our venue has a licensed bar, so you can enjoy a drink while you craft.
Once you’ve attended, you’ll also be welcome to join our fortnightly Stitch Socials on Wednesday evenings for extra support, encouragement, and inspiration from fellow knitters.
We run a wide range of creative workshops in Deptford – from crochet and arm knitting to collage, painting, and printmaking – so this is also a great chance to discover our space and community.
