ABOUT THE CLASS
Join Janet for a basic knitting session at Ardgay Hall on Weds, 3rd September from 6-7pm (Highland Wool's Knit & Natter is on from 7pm, please feel free to join if you wish).
In this partnership with The Hirsel and Highland Wool CiC, we are organising a set of 4 wool craft classes starting with basic knitting, drop spindle use, simple pattern reading, and spinning wheel use. You may book one session or all four through Eventbrite.
Our Beginner's Knitting One-Hour Class is the perfect starting point for crafty souls looking to create something magical with their own two hands!
No experience? No problem! This fun and friendly class welcomes absolute beginners who've never touched a knitting needle.
In just 60 minutes, you'll learn the fundamental skills to start your knitting journey, including:
• Basic casting on techniques
• Simple stitches
• How to hold needles and wool comfortably
• Tips
Knitting needles will be available to use, but if you want to take your work home to practice, please bring your own needles - ideally size between 4.5mm - 6mm. You can usually find very inexpensive knitting needles in charity shops.
This workshop is partially funded by The National Lottery Awards for All.
