Have fun creating beautiful knitwear. Emphasis is on colour and form. You will explore the use of machine knit stitches and construction techniques.

Each session will cover a range of techniques below. By the end of the course you will have finished a project of yoiur choice and learnt a range of skills including pattern making and finishing.

Gauge and tension.

Colour palette. Yarn selection.

Techniques and knitting.

Creating fabric from yarn.

Plain knitting.

Patterns inc. colourwork/fairisle, textured knitting, lace.

Creating texture.

Stitch Techniques. Plain, purl, moss stitch, lace, cable, other stitches.
