Know your rights as Tier 4 students

Immigration Officers from UK Visas and Immigration are returning to Birkbeck Central London campus to explain your rights as Tier 4 students. They will explain in plain English your rights and what to avoid to keep in line with Tier 4 visa conditions.

There will be a Q & A session after the presentation.

If you wish, you can also request to speak to them confidentially after the Q & A. They can answer any questions regarding your students immigration status or any visa issues. Plesae be assured all queries made by students will be strictly confidential.

1. Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

Please bring your Student ID.

3. Will you or the Home Office use the information I provided to peanalise me?

No. All queries made by the students will be confidential even if they have an adverse immigration history.

4. I have a question for the Home Office staff but cannot attend the event.

The Home Office staff will provide a generic email address after the event. La Young can also give it to you after the event.

5. Do I need to stay for the entire duration of the event?

No, you don't have to. You can come for part of the event if you wish. However, please note that the timing of each item is only given as a rough guide.
