Event description

Description

We are planning a next Kotlin meetup, this time a larger event under Kotlin/Everywhere initiative. The main speaker will be Wolfram Rittmeyer from Germany. The main topis is going to be:

Kotlin DSLs - Why, when and how?

In this talk about Kotlin DSLs, Wolfram, first covers, why DSL are so useful and what distinguishes them from normal code. He will then talk about design aspects of DSLs before going on a ride of Kotlin language features that can be used to create your own DSLs. It turns out that you most likely have used many - if not all - of these concepts in your daily Kotlin use.

About Wolfram Rittmeyer:

Wolfram is an Android developer since 2012 and has been blogging about it ever since. He’s very active in the Android community, likes to speak at devfests and conferences and is co-organizer of the GDG, Düsseldorf. He’s an Google Developer Expert for Android as well as for the Google Assistant. Currently he works as a freelancer.
Of course not everything is tech. As a family guy Wolfram is a proud father of his two sons Linus and Niklas. Funnily they are also a nice source of inspiration when it comes to tech tinkering.
