About KQ Labs

KQ Labs supports early-stage companies from across the UK who are working at the interface of data science and biomedical research - what we call the data-driven health sector. We select ten innovative startups each year to join our hybrid programme delivered by the Francis Crick Institute, the renowned biomedical discovery institute based at the heart of London's Knowledge Quarter.

We work with teams developing solutions in:

  • AI in drug discovery and development
  • Precision medicine (including genomics, imaging, and so on)
  • Digital health tools for clinicians and patients

The programme is designed to help you build a resilient, investable business model by refining your commercial strategy, strengthening your regulatory strategy, and supporting the right path to funding. Each team benefits from bespoke, hands-on support shaped by their specific needs, as well as access to a dynamic network of mentors, pharma partners, and investors who understand the challenges of scaling in the data-driven health space.

Each selected company also receives £40,000 in funding and an opportunity to pitch at our Demo Day in June 2026, to 150+ ecosystem players and investors.

Applications for KQ Labs Cohort 8 close Thursday 28th August 2025, 5pm, to start the programme early 2026. Visit our website to apply today - www.crick.ac.uk/kqlabs
