Knife Defence Bootcamp

This bootcamp will cover Krav Maga knife defence techniques in depth and use a variety of pressure test drills. We will split the group based on ability and experience so that no matter whether you have no previous experience at all, or have been training with us for years you will be challenged.

In this bootcamp we will cover the following topics (amount of topics covered will depend on previous skill level):

1. Introduction to common street weapons, threats and tactical considerations

2. Hierarchy of defence against edged weapons

3. Skill acquisition - knife defence techniques against most common attacks

4. Scenario training - cash point robbery, kidnap and rape prevention

5. Skill acquisition - disarmming where essential/practical

6. Pressurised drills - skill ownership

Krav Maga

Krav Maga is the Official Hand to Hand Combat system of the Israeli Military. Krav Maga is taught to the ordinary men and women conscripted into the Israeli Armed Forces . Krav Maga is renown for being simple to use, fast to learn and highly effective in real life situations. Krav Maga was designed specifically to be used in the process of turning ordinary civilians into combat ready troops in the shortest period of time. To teach ordinary people how to protect themselves in high risk situations - Krav Maga remains the system of choice of the Israeli Military and over 500 Military and Law Enforcement agencies across the world.

What is a Krav Maga Bootcamp

Bootcamps are accelerated training 'camps' focused on learning and applying realistic Self Defence skills as quickly as possible. Bootcamps are high energy - dynamic and an incredible experience for all involved. Trainees gain confidence through practical experience and applying simple to learn defensive skills. Unless specified, no prior experience is expected or needed. Krav Maga is uniquely qualified to teach people realistic skills in the shortest period of time and trainees are put through their paces in practical training with intense but safely controlled pressure drills. No Martial Arts or training experience is required.

Common FAQs:

Q. Do I need martial arts experience to participate?
A. No... Krav Maga is designed around simplicity and effectiveness with minimal pre-requisites. This bootcamp will be split so that you will be learning and being challenged at an appropriate level for you.

Q. Do I need to be fit?
A. Not necessarilly. You should be healthy and have no medical conditions that your Doctor would say prevents you from training. Fitness is a part of our training, but we help you with that and everyone is pushed to a level that is appropriate (but still challenging) for them.

Q. How much can I learn in 5 hours?
A. It is amazing how much can be covered and as we have said before the basic concepts are simple but effective.

Q. Are the instructors male?
A. We have both male and female instructors working on this programme.

Q. What is the age range?
A. The minimum is 16 (with parental consent) and 18 normally, with no maximum for a healthy person.
