To instruct managers in the principles of multi-agency Welfare Centre and Evacuees management.

About this event

The KRF Welfare centre Managers training for 2021/22 will be delivered as a 1-day virtual event as outlined in the programme below.


To instruct managers in the principles of multi-agency Welfare Centre and Evacuees management.


On completion of this course attendees will have gained an understanding and knowledge of the following:

1. The difference roles and responsibilities between a Welfare Centre and Survivor Reception Centre (SvRC).

2. The role of the Administration Manager and care supervisor.

3. Social and Physiological issues.

4. A review of the KRF Survivor/Evacuee Documentation.

5. Restrictions of operating under COVID Conditions.

Target Audience

District Councils, Kent County Council, NHS and Key Voluntary Sector personnel with a potential role in the management of rest centres and survivor/evacuee needs.

Please note this course is valid for three years, at which time it is advisable to attend again to maintain currency.

Attendees should have completed the e-learning: Introduction to Emergency Planning and attended the Welfare Centre Training.
