KS1 Moderation Workshop
Fri 10 March 2017, 13:30 – 16:00 GMT
Led by Genaya Smales, this event is tailored to support teachers who have experience of the End of Key Stage 1 statutory assessment process, and also those teachers who are new to Year 2.
Within the afternoon, there will be opportunities for teachers to familiarise themselves with the assessment criteria, gain a deeper understanding of the Local Authority moderation process and also work in small groups to moderate pupils' work in order to verify judgements and support one another in making those judgements.
Teachers will be invited to bring a selection of their current pupils' work which will form part of the moderation activity.
Moderation will focus on reading, writing, maths and grammar, punctuation and spelling.
