Our secondary schools - Lilian Baylis, Archbishop Tenison's and Lansdowne - are all included in a funded project at the Black Cultural Archives.
This will kick off with a teacher twilight session at BCA. Refreshments will be provided. This session will introduce the background and detail of the project, including the offer of workshops for your school and the chance to display work at the BCA.
The project is centred around the Adamah papers, a new addition to the archive at BCA. These papers document hundreds of years of the Adamah family history as a Ghanaian family who have migrated all over the world. This project will allow pupils to work with family research specialists to research their own family histories.
KS3 history teachers and senior leaders from Lansdowne, Lilian Baylis and Archbishop Tenisons are all welcome.
