Kumo is a 28 year old Sudanese/British artist currently based in Jersey who works with the medium of spraypaint and acrylics.
His professional life as an artist started in Vietnam four years ago where he worked in public spaces creating murals. He set up graffiti workshops that were introduced to school curricuculms.
He will be presenting a series of large canvases depicting figures. He uses spray paint and acrylics to create a powerful spontaneous image in which line and colour play an important part. His constant practice of working with spray paint has given him a facility with line and texture that has increased his freedom of expression. It is important to Kumo that his work gives a powerful and immediate impression.
The exhibition will run from the 7th of November until the 7th of December.
