About this Event

Kurinuki and throwing on the wheel: an introduction to these pottery techniques. Kurinuki employs carving out a shaped block of clay to obtain an interior space. Throwing is about watching and doing, repeat.

Tutor, Tony Hall. Trained in La Borne France. Tony developed his career at Whichford Pottery in Warwickshire where he was the chief thrower before establishing The Pottery at Castle Hill Studios. While maintaining The Pottery as his core interest, Tony has branched into innovative complementary areas of work in Sculpture and in 2014 won the Society of Portrait Sculptors Society prize at the Sladmore Gallery for his sculpture of his daughter Kate

Cost £95 (plus booking fee) includes 2 kilos of clay glazed and fired.
