In the atmospheric setting of St Johns Church, join us for a screening of La Belle et la Bête (1946). You may be more familiar with the Disney animated version or the recent adaptation starring Emma Watson, but this offers the first filmic adaptation of the classic 1757 Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont fairytale. It is directed by French poet and filmmaker Jean Cocteau. Starring Josette Day as Belle and Jean Marais as the Beast.
