LA-LINK January workshop 2026
Overview
Welcome to the LA-LINK January workshop 2026!
We are excited to launch LA-LINK, a new seminar and workshop series designed to bring together researchers, developers, policymakers, funders, and implementers working across the rapidly evolving field of long-acting therapeutics.
Whether you’re deeply embedded in long-acting research or just beginning to explore the field, you’re warmly invited to be part of this growing community via LA-LINK, funded by global health agency Unitaid.
The first LA-LINK workshop is titled ‘Application of pharmacokinetic modelling and simulation for long-acting medicines’ and the confirmed speakers are:
- Professor Robert Bies - Buffalo University, USA
- Dr. Harshal Hattyangdi - CELT Global Health, University of Liverpool, UK
- Dr Catia Marzolini - University of Lausanne & Basel, Switzerland
- Dr. Francis Williams Ojara - Gulu University, Uganda.
We'll be updating with the speakers' titles soon, so stay tuned for that announcement.
LA-LINK Context
Long-acting medicines and technologies are transforming medicines for a range of conditions disproportionately affecting people in low- and middle- income countries. LA-LINK is a new series of quarterly workshops, aiming to be a cross-stakeholder learning space to create new connections for collaboration, identify challenges, and share best practice.
You can find out more details about LA-LINK on our Partnership Coordination project page, but each workshop will feature:
- Focused expert talks or panels
- Space for Q&A and community discussion
- Session summaries and materials shared afterward.
