Looking for a new cycling challenge this year that also supports the work of The Soldier’s Charity? The military themed La Resistance ride in the French Alps is just the thing
La Resistance is a brand new, gravel and tarmac one-day cycling challenge taking place in the French Alps in September 2016. This exciting event pays homage to the heroic men and women of the French Resistance and features up to 20km of mountain gravel roads, challenging mountain passes and spectacular mountain scenery in the heart of the Alps. Starting on the shores of Lake Annecy, two route options are offered (130km and 90km) to suit a range of ability. The longer route visits the historic Plateau des Glieres where members of the French Resistance where exiled during the war and where the National Resistance Monument is now situated. Both routes converge at the official resistance cemetery before finishing back on the shores of beautiful Lake Annecy.
