Event Details

40+ keynotes, sessions and tours of interest to all laboratory providers, owners and users, with an anticipated 250+ attendees and 25+ exhibitors. Content is:

  • Many sessions on the University of Bristol’s activities, including its planned Temple Quarter initiative; the Life Science Building; lab energy and environment programmes; equipment sharing; procurement, and technical staff development and knowledge sharing.
  • A stream on innovation- and collaboration-focused science spaces, including Unit DX in Bristol and the University of Plymouth’s conversion of the former AZ Laboratory at Brixham.
  • Operations - chemical management, storage and risk assessment; cold storage; equipment reuse and sharing; F-gases; greenhouses and plant growth; safety and more.  
  • Rethinking ventilation - air handling, extract, fume cupboards and supply. (There will also be a one day training course on the topic at Bristol on September 17.)
  • Estates/Facilities - designing for well-being; BIM; lighting, reconfigurable services and more.
  • Energy/Environment - Bristol’s Green Lab initiatives; energy-efficient equipment; Environmental Product Declarations; waste and water minimisation; and more.
  • Tours of the Life Science and Chemistry Buildings; Greenhouse & Growth Facilities; Unit DX.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

This is a city campus venue. The Will's Memorial Building is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station. Please note that there are a few steep inclines on the walk from the train station to the venue. There are bus options available and a taxi rank located outside the train station.

Unfortunately, there are no car park facilities at the venue. Information on local payable car parks will be provided closer to the date.

What's the refund policy?

You are able to change the name on your ticket free of charge. No ticket refunds are possible. If you have any questions about this, please contact the office.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No ticket is required. Simpy turn up on the day and register at the Registration Desk.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, if you are unable to attend you may pass your ticket to another person. We must be informed so we can amend the badge/delegate list/dietary needs.
