Description
- 48 keynotes and sessions of interest to all laboratory providers, owners and users at a world class research campus, with an anticipated 250+ attendees and 30+ exhibitors.
- Many keynotes and break-out sessions on how the Wellcome Genome Campus sees future science trends and is adapting its buildings, facilities and operations in response, + tours.
- Best practice design of R&D and innovation facilities, with cases on AZ’s new Cambridge site, Babraham, the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) and UCL’s Sainsbury Wellcome Centre.
- Operations and equipment - many sessions (including a number on the Genome Campus itself), including autoclaves, bioinformatics and LIMS, business continuity, calibration, clean rooms / air purification, Cat 3 health and safety, gas safety, lab procurement, lean labs and managed services, PCR, sample management and storage, and clinical waste management.
- Estates and services - designing for well-being; BIM; continuous commissioning; laboratory benchmarking, reconfigurable services; and rethinking extract, fume cupboards and supply.
- Energy and environment - the US Smart Labs initiative which aims to reduce laboratory energy by 30-50%; sustainable labs at Cambridge University; a debate on whether green building certification is worth it for labs; waste and water minimisation; and more.
- Lab careers - management skills, toolkits for individuals & organisations, and CPD advice.
- Tours of the ‘DNA Pipeline’, EBI South Building, and Campus waste management facilities.

What's the refund policy?
You are able to change the name on your ticket free of charge. No ticket refunds are possible. If you have any questions about this, please contact the office.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No ticket is required. Simpy turn up on the day and register at the Registration Desk.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, if you are unable to attend you may pass your ticket to another person. We must be informed so we can amend the badge/delegate list/dietary needs.
