Event description

Description

UKLFI Charitable Trust invites you to a discussion with

Euan Philipps, spokesperson of Labour Against Antisemitism (LAAS)
and Daniel Ornstein, Employment and Discrimination lawyer,
Chaired by radio presenter Jonny Gould
on Tuesday 21 January 2020
from 6.30pm to 9pm in North West London

This event will provide an opportunity to review the position following the defeat of the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn in the recent election and to discuss hopes and plans for the future. Join us for what promises to be a significant discussion of an issue of the greatest importance to Jewish communities in the UK and around the world, the Labour party, British politics, the UK and Israel.

Euan Philipps is spokesperson for LAAS, which has, since its foundation in 2017, reported approximately 1200 Labour party members and officials for antisemitism and conducted various exposés. It is a go-to source for quotes and information on Labour antisemitism for major news outlets like Sky News and the BBC and every national newspaper. Its findings have been submitted to the Inquiry by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and used by other organisations that report on antisemitism.

Daniel Ornstein is head of the London Labor and Employment Law Team at US law firm Proskauer and a specialist in Equality and Human Rights law.

Jonny Gould is a well known TV and radio presenter - a news commentator for Sky News, talkRadio host and creator of the “Jonny Gould's Jewish State” podcasts.
