Britain’s industrial heartlands voted overwhelmingly to leave the European Union. What are the lessons for the country and the Labour Party in responding to that vote – from the levels of migration, to the squeeze on families’ living standards. What has 21st Century Britain got to offer different parts of the country?
Caroline Flint MP and Gloria de Piero MP will discuss how Labour retains the trust of people in these areas and what policies would be most effective, with responses from Frances O’Grady and Polly Toynbee. All speakers will then take part in an audience Q&A.
Venue: Meeting Room 11C, ACC conference centre Liverpool
Please note, this event takes place within the secure zone of the Labour Party Conference. As such you will need a conference pass to attend.
