When we heard Lorraine was hanging up their hosting hat at Ladies, Wine and Design, we knew it was fitting to get peeps together for a celebration to send her off in style. And with Spooky season upon us, it affords the perfect back drop for another yearly gathering!
At Unknown Errors, beyond all the talks, what we are most keen to do is just facilitate people within the community coming together. For the past 3 years, Lorraine has done a stellar job doing just that with Ladies, Wine and Design. They built out a welcoming space within the Glasgow creative scene that championed many voices, and was steadfast in calling out our industries bullshit. They have sunk a lot of time into this space, alongside just being a regular champion of community ventures across the scene such as Unknown Errors.
So it's only right to be throwing a wee spooky celebration in Record Factory to show Lorraine some appreciation for all the time they have given us as a community! Time to dig out your halloween looks, and we will see you on October 21st to share some laughs, drinks and a little quizzing.
Whilst this night is free to attend, we do have an option for donating to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). As always, we don't want anyone to feel pressured or expected to contribute, this is totally up to your situation and whether you feel you're in a position to donate. As the ongoing genocide in Gaza further intensifies, Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) are doing everything in their power to make sure vital medical aid is getting to people on the ground. Every penny goes a long way.
