Lady Lucy's 2017 Thames boating schedule
Sat 30 September 2017, 09:30 – 18:00 BST
During this summer , Lady Lucy , the award winning classic boat owned by Henry Tapper, will be making its way up and down the river Thames, we leave Hurley Mill Pond at 10 am and generally get back to the same destination at around 6pm.
Boating with Lady Lucy is absolutely free but we do hope you can bring some food and drink with you so that we can have a picnic on the way.
There is parking at Freebody's yard or you can take a taxi from Maidenhead Railway Station. If you are having problems - call Henry Tapper on 07785 377768 and he may be able to help.
The boat is fine for all kinds of children and we are happy with animals. We have lifejackets and the boat is pretty safe. You, your family and your pets are coming at your risk - though the boat is insured.
We generally go up river as far as Reading and down river to Windsor but some longer trips can take us down to London or up to Oxford. The boat has a number of cabins , a toilet (heads) and a galley.
If you are coming, please wear plastic soled shoes and clothes which allow you to move about the boat easily.
You may be asked to do some work with ropes at the locks though you have the right to say "no"! There will always be people on the boat experienced enough to deal with the Thames.
