LadyCADE is coming back to London, for a springtime celebration of women in games and tech. We'll be showcasing games from women around the world, demonstrating the diverse blend of creativity within game development, and generally celebrating people's ability to make cool stuff!
Just like we did last June, we'll gather in Loading Bar (Scenario) in Dalston for an evening of drinks, gaming and friendly chat. This time around though, we will also overlap with London Indies co-working, which runs during the day under the same roof! So, if you fancy joining us for a spot of collaborative game dev during the day, we absolutely encourage you to grab a coffee and join in. You can find the day's co-working signup here.
Finally, we're also launching a new fundraising scheme with this event - independently of our kind hosts at Loading Bar. Along with the usual free and non-compulsory RSVP ticket option is a donation box, through which you can directly support future events! Thus far LadyCADE has run entirely without any budget, but we think it high time we got to sprucing up the events a bit, with things like stickers, flyers and banners. If you can help us get such things off the ground, we'll be forever in your debt - but don't feel obliged! LadyCADE events remain free for all to attend.
Of course, LadyCADE is also an opportunity to play and showcase games being made by women, so if you would like to show your project, get some free publicity and gather useful feedback, please do get in touch! Demos and early builds are just as welcome as finished projects.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Please also note that in an effort to promote LadyCADE events - primarily in order to encourage others to attend in future - the organisers reserve the right to take photographs, and that these may appear on social media, our website and small-scale press materials. We will always strive to this in a respectful manner, however if any participants explicitly do not wish to be photographed we ask that they make themselves known to the organisers on the night. You will know them by their LadyCADE t-shirts.
Do I need to register with Eventbrite or Facebook in order to attend?
No. Ticketing is purely voluntary, and serves only to give us an idea of attendee numbers, or as an easy reminder to those who appreciate having such things. You're under no obligation to share any details if you don't wish - just come along on the night!
Can I have my donation refunded?
Unfortunately not. Please do check any amount you enter before confirmation!
What does my donation fund?
LadyCADE is collecting in order to fund what basically amounts to exhibition supplies. This organisation has never had a working budget; everything we've done so far has been made possible through the organisers' own donations of time, money and effort - and kind offerings from our many wonderful hosts. This is why we've never been able to 'dress' an event - but as we're now well into our second year of events, we'd like to invest in tangible things like flyers, posters, pop-up banners and stickers, and presentation materials to support those developers whose games we showcase.
Who's organising this event?
Our Spring Social 2015 is being organised and run by Gemma Thomson and Holly Pickering.
