I don’t live within Ladywood Estate. Can I still attend?

These workshops have been designed for residents and businesses within the Ladywood Estate. As there is a limited capacity within each session, we ask that others take part in the consultation through other methods, including by engaging with the survey on the consultation website.

Can I attend more than one session?

Accepted Answer

To ensure as many residents as possible can take part at their preferred time, we ask that individuals attend one session. However, please contact the project team if you have any concerns about this.

Question 3

The session I want to / can only attend has sold out. What can I do?

Please contact the project team to discuss this. We are working hard to ensure that these workshops are accessible and inclusive for everyone within the Ladywood Estate and we will  schedule further workshops as required.

Question 4

Do I need to bring ID / proof of address / any documentation?

No. However, we ask that you only attend the session which you have registered for.

Question 5

I cannot attend any of the scheduled workshops. Will there be additional sessions?

Please contact the project team to discuss this. We are working hard to ensure that these workshops are accessible and inclusive for everyone within the Ladywood Estate and we will look to schedule further workshops as required.

Question 6

Will you be consulting on a masterplan?

Accepted Answer

No masterplan has been created. These workshops are the first opportunity for local people to co-create a shared vision for Ladywood.

Question 7

Are these workshops for the Residents Charter?

Accepted Answer

No. Birmingham City Council is the lead partner responsible for developing and finalising the Resident’s Charter.

St Joseph fully backs the principles of the Charter and will embed its approach and commitments into all consultation activity.

Question 8

Are these workshops for the Resident’s Steering Group?

Accepted Answer

No. These workshops are designed for residents and businesses within the Ladywood Estate. There will be separate meetings and workshops tailored specifically for the Resident’s Steering Group in due course.

I can't attend a workshop. Are there other ways for me to get involved?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you’re unable to attend a workshop in person, there are still plenty of ways to take part. You can share your views through our online feedback form at (www.ladywoodcommunity.co.uk) or get in contact with our team.

Are the workshops free to attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. These workshops are free to attend and open to all within the Ladywood Estate.

Question 11

How will you use the feedback from the session?

Accepted Answer

All comments and views shared during the workshops will be recorded and reviewed by the project team. We’ll use this feedback to shape the emerging principles for the regeneration. A summary of what we heard and how it will influence next steps will be shared publicly.

How can I stay up to date?

You can stay informed through the Ladywood Community website (www.ladywoodcommunity.co.uk) our regular newsletters, and updates posted at our soon-to-be-opened neighbourhood office on Botany Walk. You can also contact the project team to ask questions or request updates directly.

Question 13

Do I have to register for my child/dependent to attend with me?

If attending with others, you should register the total number of people within your party. This includes children and dependents. This is to ensure that there is sufficient space in each workshop for all to participate.

Will I be compensated for my time?

Taking part in the workshops is a voluntary activity.

Question 15

I can no longer attend the session I registered for. Can I attend another one?

Accepted Answer

If you can no longer attend your booked session, please let the project team know by either via returning your booking on Eventbrite or through letting the project team know directly.

What happens after these workshops?

After this first phase of workshops, we will review all feedback and insights shared by residents. These will inform the early development of a masterplan. This is just the start of a longer-term engagement process, and there will be more opportunities to get involved over the coming months.
