Sir Henry Brooke is a distinguished retired judge, who was Vice-President of the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal (2003–2006). He served as the vice-chair of the Bach Commission on Access to Justice, which recently published its final report, The right to justice. He is increasingly well known for his blogs and articles published at sirhenrybrooke.me.

Baroness Kennedy QC is one of the most respected and high-profile lawyers in the UK. She is a frequent broadcaster and journalist on the law and women’s rights.

Both of our guests are leading commentators on the issues around access to justice for poor and disadvantaged communities. The evening promises to be one of lively discussion and debate for LAG’s friends and supporters celebrating our 45th anniversary.

Afua Hirsch is a writer, broadcaster, barrister and regularly appears on Sky's The Pledge.

The in-conversation period of the evening will be followed by a reception from 8pm.
