  • Event lasts 3 hours

Who? Any professional working directly with families where there might be safeguarding concerns and/or safeguarding leads, team managers and people who oversee frontline practitioners.

Why? The overall aim of the Neglect Strategy is to improve our responses to children and

adolescents experiencing or at risk of all forms of neglect.

What?

Learning objectives:

· To understand types and cumulative nature of neglect.

· To increase confidence in identifying neglect.

· To increase confidence in reporting and responding to neglect.

· To develop awareness of the common challenges and practice issues to identifying and responding to neglect.

· To increase confidence in using the Neglect Toolkit and embedding into practice.

How? This 3-hour briefing is delivered online by an LSCP Trainer. The session is hosted online via MS Teams. An MS Teams Link will be sent 2-5 working days before the event. Please put a placeholder in your diary in the interim.
