About this Event

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

- Explain the term no recourse to public funds and make links to Section 17 of the Children Act 1989

- Explore differences in immigration legislation ie. Human rights Act etc. and state what that mean for clients

- Identify situations where practitioners will need to assess the family's' needs and the needs of children

- Explore services that are available for No Recourse to Public Funds children and their families in Lambeth

This is suitable for all front-line practitioners working with children and their families who may appear to be destitute (unable to access benefits including social housing) due to immigration status.
