Event description

Description

Following the success of our concert of music by women composers last November, we present an evening of pieces featuring live dance in the brilliant new Vaughan Williams Auditorium at JAGS.

The programme will include the premiere of a new work by the band's patron Stephen McNeff, a second performance of Christopher Hussey's 'Child of the Wandering Sea' (with choreography by Irene Fiordilino) and a rare UK performance of Nancy Galbraith's 'Danza de los Duendes', continuing our pledge to highlight band music by women from around the world.

Programme

Stephen McNeff: New Work [premiere, title tbc]
Ivor Novello, arr. John Holland: The Dancing Years (Selection)
Nancy Galbraith: Danza de los Duendes
Arturo Marquez, arr. Oliver Nickel: Danzón no. 2

Warren Benson: The Solitary Dancer
Christopher Hussey: Child of the Wandering Sea [second performance, with choreography by Irene Fiordilino]
George Gershwin, arr. Franco Cesarini: An American in Paris
