Lambing Course

Welcome to the Lambing Course!

Our 1 day course is split into 2 halves. Firstly you will spend time in our classroom discussing all things lambing including - Signs of lambing, lambing positions, health conditions of the ewes and lambs and husbandry tasks post lambing.

You will then spend time in our lambing shed potentially assisting with births, carrying out routine tasks in the lambing shed and carrying out husbandry tasks.

This is ideal for young farmers looking for more experience, people with small flocks that want to feel more independent or those toying with the idea of starting the 'good life' and having their own flock at home.

All safety precautions have been carried out along with risk assessment for each animal on the farm. Risks will be highlighted at the start of each session.
