Laminitis - Supporting Understanding for Prevention and Care
Wed 26 April 2017, 19:00 – 22:00 BST
“Laminitis is not a single static condition but a multi dimensional evolving condition and welfare situation with the affected equine undertaking a laminitic journey. This equine journey is mirrored by a carer journey every bit as life changing, with the horse owner taking on the role as primary carer and their friends and families becoming their support network”
In this event we will be supporting horse owner understanding of laminitis for prevention and care. Providing guidance on causes, early identification, farriery treatment and practical support strategies for horse owners and their support network.
The Event is being supported by Sophie Cookson MSc Welfare Co-ordinator at the British Horse Society and will include a presenation on their amazing new iniative 'Friends At The End'
