Event description

Description

For our autumn time Think Tank, the Lancashire Forum Creative Team is pleased to welcome back Andrew 'Bernie' Bernard from Innovative Enterprise. This event picks up the thread of personal performance and wellbeing in the work place once more.

The workshop

Bernie will share a couple of stories from his life and career journey and his top tips for finding your purpose and passions.

Following on from these insights and a couple of exercises, you will play Resilience Roulette with a big dice and take on six different reflective lessons in resilience which will include activities, discussions and some resolutions.

You’ll work in ever-changing mixed groups and challenge some of your ideas, behaviours and attitudes as well as making some connections that will help everyone.

Some of the Resilience skills you will develop include:

- Uncovering your sense of purpose

- Becoming more decisive and assertive

- Taking care of yourself and others

- Come on, you didn’t think we’d tell you all of it did you? Come along and have some fun!

The speaker: Andrew Bernard (Bernie)

Bernie is a classic ‘Accidental Entrepreneur’ and having worked for 17 years in Academia (at Lancaster and Salford Universities) and the Corporate world (at Unilever, ConvaTec and a Professional Property Company) he decided that the best part of his day was leaving work.

Following some fire walking and life coaching support from his wife Val, he set up Innovative Enterprise in 2006 and since then has worked with 150,000 people, developed workshops and resources to support enterprise and personal development, supported manufacturers and become an international and TEDx Speaker.

As well as Eco-Fish a sustainable fishing learning resource and Your Enterprise Alphabet Cards one of the resources is Enterprise Soapbox – a business in a box and training aid – and the inspiration for Bernie’s Twitter handle @EnterpriseSBox ! Bernie is also a Director of National Careers Week - @CareersWeek .

Bernie and his team have supported various sectors (Businesses 30%; Young People 60%; Charities 10%) and developed and shared business and wellbeing skills as they’ve gone along. This workshop is the distilled essence of this learning and will enable reflection, energising and laughs as well as some insights into your own behaviours and change.
